Seventh grade curriculum starts up where sixth grade left off in world history. We will study the end of the Roman Empire, the spread of Islam, Western African societies, Medieval Japan and China, the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment (including the Protestant Revolution, Age of Exploration, and the Scientific Revolution). In class we will be listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. We also place importance on our role in the world and how we can affect the future. My students will practice problem solving, teamwork, creative thinking, and analyzing history in class. We produce a variety of work during the school year including: posters, models, writing projects, scripts, electronic media and oral presentations.
